Central California Dungeness Crab Fleet going fishing

Boats are heading out to set at 8am Friday 01/09 and will begin harvesting on Saturday.

The unity and professionalism displayed by almost every fisherman in the region has been incredibly positive.

This has resulted in an organized set and haul time that all fishermen are honoring for a fair and orderly start.

Due to the pending lawsuit, a price has not been reached and unfortunately won't be known until fishing begins. It is incredibly difficult for the fleet to head to work without knowing what they will be paid, especially with rising operational costs, but this legal action has made things very difficult for the buyers as well.
