How to renew California Licences if USCG Documentation is delayed during federal shut down

Below is the approach for applicants who have submitted their renewals to the USCG but are unable to complete their vessel documentation.

• Applicants should submit copies of their USCG application and renewal confirmation (examples attached) ALONG with a copy of their current USCG Certificate of Documentation.

• All documents should be sent to LRBCOMM@wildlife.ca.gov. They can also be sent to the Department’s P.O. box, but email is much faster for everyone. We encourage submission of documents as soon as possible.

• Pictures of the documents are acceptable as long as the pictures are legible and entire documents are displayed within the pictures.

• All applicants should resend the documents with their application after receiving this guidance even if they previously sent them.
